Joining us in Spring 2026 is a dual qualified patent attorney and founder shareholder with the experience, drive and enthusiasm to build a Firm fit for the NeXt Generation of IP. With a background in both physical chemistry and biotech, they have led major patent cases involving formulations, coatings, fuel cells, photonics and implanted "intelligent" biosensors. They bring contentious and worldwide prosecution experience in genetic engineering, cell imaging, tissue engineering and biomarkers.

We are pleased to announce that we have found our Head of Operations and shareholder. Unique in the industry, this person worked from patent secretary to a senior records and formalities position over their career and now joins us as a founder shareholder in Spring 2026. Their goal is to build a world class, frictionless operations business unit from scratch, entirely around the needs of our stakeholders - our clients and attorneys - using state of the art systems and processes.

Olivia is an NXIP consultant and has worked with a wide range of clients from start-ups and scale-ups to multinational corporations, providing a variety of services including patenting and freedom to operate advice, IP audits, patent drafting and prosecution, in the fields of mechanical devices, software, machine learning and medical devices. With 20 years experience and a native Cantonese speaker, Olivia brings a global perspective to her advice.

He is typically engaged to advise on industry patent trends, best practice when working with university sector IP, start-ups and big pharma, whilst drafting original patent applications through to filing and grant.
